What Is an Aluminium Composite Panel?
An aluminium composite panel consists of an aluminium honeycomb core bonded between two aluminium alloy face skins. The layers are pressed and cured using a high-strength engineering adhesive, producing a panel that is simultaneously lightweight, rigid and highly durable.
This combination of low weight and structural strength makes aluminium composite panels an ideal solution for applications where performance and weight savings are both critical.
Structural Foam Panels
In addition to aluminium honeycomb composite panels, Bespoke Composite Panels also designs and manufactures structural foam core panels – an alternative sandwich construction that offers excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio and strong thermal and acoustic insulation properties. Structural foam panels are produced by bonding a rigid closed-cell foam core, typically polyurethane (PU) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) foam, between two face skins of aluminium, fibreglass or other composite materials. The result is a panel with high compressive and shear strength, good impact resistance and superior moisture resistance compared to many traditional materials. This makes structural foam panels particularly well suited to marine interiors, rail vehicle fitouts, cold storage environments and any application where both structural performance and insulation are required. As with all products from Bespoke Composite Panels, structural foam panels can be fully engineered to client specification, including FEA-validated designs and CNC-machined to precise tolerances.
